Hi! I'm Josh.
I’m an actor, writer, and improviser, and I live in Brooklyn, N.Y. Right now you can see me performing original characters in Characters Welcome at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre: East Village.
Some of my favorite credits include: working on the film Ricki and The Flash, starring Meryl Streep and directed by Jonathan Demme; playing Leo in Amy Herzog's 4000 Miles at Baltimore Center Stage, directed by Lila Neugebauer; and playing the title role in Scapin, a musical-Commedia adaptation of the classic Molière play, directed by Scott Ripley at Theatre Row in New York. I also love performing with my indie improv teams Miles From Pete and Sunday Sundae.
Here's some art that brings me joy and that I will build a time machine to be involved in: film (Star Wars*, On the Waterfront, The Big Lebowski), theater (Annie Baker’s The Aliens, Aaron Posner’s Stupid Fucking Bird, Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead), television (The Office, High Maintanence, Arrested Development, The Sopranos), books (J.R.R. Tolkien, Stephen King, Cheryl Strayed, Thich Nhat Hanh), and dessert (my Great Aunt Lou’s pecan pie, my Granny’s chocolate cake, and my Mom’s chocolate-oatmeal-peanut-butter cookies). Thankfully, no time machine necessary for the desserts.
Thank you for visiting my website. Enjoy yourself. Have a cookie.
* My favorite rebel starfighter is the B-Wing. Google it - way underrated.
